What is your refund policy?

Because all orders are custom and require one-on-one service, if you need to cancel your order for some reason, you may receive a refund less the cost of items delivered.

If you've received a digital proof of your invitation before requesting a refund, your refund will only be for the cost of the printing you ordered. If you only ordered a digital invitation, a proof is considered delivery and your purchase is not eligible for a refund.

No refunds will be processed on orders that have already been printed.

What if I need to have my invitations reprinted?

Reprints can be ordered for an additional fee if you need to make any changes or if you need to order more.

If there is an error on your invitations due to a mistake by CharmCat, then reprints and rush shipping are free.

Do I get a proof before my invitations are printed?

With your order you'll get three rounds of proofs. You'll have the opportunity to make changes and corrections to the colors and the text in the process. Then, you'll need to approve a final proof, which gets sent to print.

How is my order printed?

CharmCat offers several printing types, including digital flat printing, foil stamping, letterpress, and spot color.
Read about different invitation printing techniques on the blog.
Printing is usually handled by a fulfillment company that specializes in working with companies like CharmCat. Orders are shipped from their warehouse in California.
Some products, especially short runs like table numbers, are printed directly by me.

What payment options do you offer? When is payment due?

CharmCat accepts PayPal, Etsy Checkout, and all major credit cards. Sorry, checks and cash are not accepted.
Payment is due when the order is placed. If you can't pay the order in full and wish to talk about a payment plan, please contact me. I offer two- and three-part plans.

Do you have any eco-friendly options?

If you're hoping to keep your invites Earth-friendly, CharmCat has a few options for you.
I have two eco-friendly paper options. The 130lb recycled stock is made from 100% post-consumer waste. It has a warm white color with small variations like handmade paper. I also offer cotton paper, which is 100% tree-free. I also have cotton envelopes available.
Unfortunately, CharmCat does not have any soy inks.
I am happy to work with couples to minimize their paper and printing needs.

Can I add a photo to my save the date or invitation?

Sure thing. Designs can be customized to incorporate a photo for your save the date, invitation, program, or thank you card. Photos need to be provided in a high-res format without watermarks. I may be able to do some light photo editing for an extra fee.

What customization options do I have?

Lots!
You can choose from our extensive custom font options library to change the look of text.
If you want to change the colors, you can browse the custom color options or you can send a file for me to match.
There are various paper types available. If you want to see and feel them first-hand, you'll want a sample kit.

As long as you have the basics (date, time, location), you can say pretty much anything!

I need them faster! Can I order rush service?

CharmCat does not offer rush service for design. We feel it interferes with our ability to provide quality services.

If you are in the continental US, you may choose rush shipping instead of standard shipping. Rush shipping is available for an extra fee.

Standard shipping takes 1 to 3 days after production is complete. Rush shipping is sent overnight.

How does my order ship?

Domestic (U.S.) orders are shipped via courier service, such as FedEx or UPS. As soon as your order ships you’ll receive a tracking number so you know where it is from pick-up to delivery.

Orders to Canada, Mexico, the UK, or Australia are shipped via USPS and delivered by your local postman. International orders cannot be tracked due to limitations of the Postal Service.

How long will my order take to ship?

Domestic orders shipped via courier are delivered in 1-3 business days after your order is complete.

International orders can take up to 45 days if they are held up in customs.

Rush shipping (overnight) is available for an extra fee.

How long will my order take?

CharmCat responds to most messages within 2 business days. Depending on the complexity of your order, a first proof could take anywhere from 2 to 10 business days.

The total time to complete your order depends on the length of the proofing process.

Once the proof is approved, printing takes 3 business days for digital orders and up to 7 for foil or letterpress orders.

Do you offer hand calligraphy services?

No, CharmCat does not offer hand calligraphy. You can choose to take your blank envelopes to a calligrapher of your choice after they arrive.

How do I submit names for address printing?

Names and addresses must be submitted in spreadsheet format. Download a template for envelope addressing from the blog.

Be sure to proofread the spreadsheet before submission as you will not review a proof before printing.

How do I request a customization change for an order I’ve already placed?

You can contact your designer at ashleigh [at] charmcat.net with any requests or changes to your design. You can also request changes after you receive your proof.

What if I can’t pay for my order in full?

For custom-designed orders, a deposit of $150 is due before design work begins. The balance of your order is due before printing. Contact ashleigh [at] charmcat.net for more.

Can I place a print order for a design I already have?

Sorry, no can do! CharmCat is a design service that offers printed products. We don’t feel we can provide the same level of quality by printing your pre-done design.

What’s the minimum quantity that I can order?

You can order as few as 20 of any digitally printed item. Letterpress or foil-stamped orders have a minimum of 50.
