We could tell from seeing Ashleigh work with other clients that she loves what she does. That’s really apparent from the level of detail and craftsmanship in her suites, and how much work she puts into making sure every project is exactly what the client is looking for.

I felt like the millions of “unique” [designs] out there are really similar and really traditional, and they weren’t for us. (And I never knew having tons of unappealing options could be so overwhelming!) Ben and I had a relatively non-traditional plan for our wedding, and we couldn’t find much that looked like what we wanted.

She was totally on board with what we wanted in terms of less formal language and more…comedic relief? I’m not sure what to call it. But a lot of wedding invitations are super formal, and we were planning to host a casual “weekend in the woods with a wedding,” so “being honored with someone’s presence” didn’t feel right.

She also took the jumbled mess of nonsense Ben and I gave her when she asked what we were looking for and somehow created the perfect suite that fit us as a couple and the low-stress weekend-vibe we were looking for. It was really helpful to have someone who was so good at intuiting what we were going for when both of us found the whole wedding planning process to be largely overwhelming.

Ashleigh is really client-centered. She’s like a walking wedding invitation etiquette guide, which is really, really, helpful! It’s great to have a professional when you’re angsting over how to write names on your invites, when to send them, whether someone who is 16 should get their own or be included with their parents, etc.

Regardless of what a couple wants (traditional, low-key, flowery, abstract, etc.) she will design until it’s perfect.

Paper by Charm Cat is currently working on my wedding stationery and as a bride to be (getting married summer 2015) I couldn’t be happier with the service and with Ashleigh. So far Ashleigh has designed my save the dates and has just finished my invites which are going out this week. Her designs are stunning, her service is professional, efficient and first class. As well as this, the stationery is very cost effective and you get a lot of beautiful stationery without it being expensive. I am in the UK and I understand that the company is based in the US but although there is a 5 hour time difference, it has not affected the service or turnaround time. Sometimes I have emailed very early GMT time meaning it is the middle of the night US time and I always get an answer. I found the company on Etsy and I would highly recommend and urge you to visit the shop. The stationery has really set the tone and theme for our wedding and I’m excited to continue working with Paper by Charm Cat Thank you so much!

Ashleigh was very easy to work with from the start. Her sample package does cost a couple dollars, BUT it is very high quality and gives you a very good idea of all the paper, color and font options. Ashleigh customized a design for me with my wedding colors and also created a map that will help get all my friends and family over the hills and through unfamiliar Virginia wine country roads. Ashleigh had great turnaround time and was very responsive throughout my ordering, reviewing and editing process. Shipment was timely and well packaged. It was raining on the day the invitations were delivered, and I rushed home to find (thankfully) that everything inside was securely wrapped in plastic and 100% dry. I can’t wait to get my beautiful watercolor invitations in the mail.

From a price perspective, I found that Charm Cat had great package options that were all pretty reasonable. I kinda went all out with invitation, direction card, information card, RSVP card and bellyband. My personal preference since I believe that your invitation sets the tone for your event – but that being said she has plenty of options for almost any budget and preference.
